Did you know that the only reason why history repeats itself is because we haven’t learned from it in the first place. I don’t mean dates, I mean the grounding concept behind it
I may be repeating myself, but it needs to be said and understood.

For whatever reasons people tuned in last night to watch CW’s highly anticipated remake of 90210. I would like to share with my readers why I tuned in to watch it last night.
I came to the states in 1991, not knowing anything about the American culture or way of life. Watching TV allowed me to integrate what is considered cool, geeky, popular, unpopular, and much more. I learned that it’s appropriate for teenagers to date, and even have sex. I remember that my father allowed us to watch the show up till he was able to distinguish the word sex from the sentence context, and then we had to watch the show in secret.
Of all the shows that I have watched growing up, 90210 kind of stayed in the race throughout the years. The gang of 90210 was such a huge part of my teenage years that now almost ten years later, I find myself anticipating the new 90210, because I get to see my old “buddies”.
Many would say the acting and casting were horrible in the original series, after all everyone except David looked much older then the character they portrayed. I have to say since I have been brushing up on my 90210 this whole summer, when you love a show as much as I do (please don’t judge lol) you tend to overlook the obvious.
I was really excited to see Kelly and Brenda reunite and I must admit that I watched last night’s show for that reason only, to see what the two characters are all about so many years later. Though the original cast is mainly on a backburner, I’m happy to say that the writers did a wonderful job in weaving the past and the present.
I don’t know if I will be an avid viewer of the current 90210, but I know I will stay tuned while Brenda is still there. She was the wild card I found fascinating to watch then, and still do now. I must say last night’s episode was interesting. A bit over packed on the plot end of it, but the cast is a beautiful looking bunch and their acting is very promising.
Way to live on Beverly Hills 90210…
